A lifetime you have lived... A lifetime yet to live...
The experiences that you have accumulated and will continue to amass...
The wisdom you have shared and will continue sharing...
All this makes up who you are!
Life hasn't been easy. You moved away from home and it's issues when you were only 12.
From field boy to city boy in the blink of an eye, but you survived... you are a fighter!
Became a father at 29 and again at 34. Pride and joy beamed from your eyes while we look at your old photographs...
Life was somewhat stable. Work was stable but you had the 'what ifs' scratching away at your soul... What if I can do more?... What if I can provide more?... Decisions were made and in 1992 at the age of 40, you did something that many can not even dare to think or do... you moved! Took your family to a foreign land, with a foreing language, and hard manual labour work was what awaited you...
Now 20 years later, you look back at all you have done and can't wait to go back home to enjoy the fruits of your hard labour. Your children are grown and you have provided the best you have to offer so they can live life the best way they can. You demonstrated that it is ok to take risks if you truly believe that the outcome will be positive. But, you also taught that if the outcome didn't turn out to be what was expected, to learn from it and fight to make everything the way it is supposed to be.
The spark in your eyes is still there after all these hard years. However, the ideas and plans for the future make you feel alive and give you strength... I like seeing you like that!
You were the first man that took care of me. The only one that no matter what life throws at us will always be around...
I am proud to call you my dad!
So here is to 60... the years that have passed... and to the many more that we will enjoy together!
I love you
Lot'sa Love!
